Recently Approved Generic Drugs
|
The following is a list of recently approved generic drugs. These drugs have been approved the
U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) with an "A" rating; the "A" rating means they are
pharmaceutically identical to the brand name drug and there is no reason found by the FDA that
they would result in a different therapeutic outcome than the brand name.
These drugs are stocked by most pharmacies and will be used to fill your prescriptions unless
you or your health care professionals have indicated that you want to receive the brand name
drugs. They are also stocked by the PBM Plus Mail Service Pharmacy and will be substituted
whenever possible and allowable per state and federal laws. In most cases when you receive a
brand name product for which a generic is available you will be responsible for the additional
cost of the brand name products as well as the applicable copayment.
