REPORTS TO - Customer Service Manager
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES:
-
Handle
a high volume of incoming customer support calls from members, pharmacies, and
physicians.

Document
pertinent information related to customer support calls for tracking, follow
up, and quality assurance.

Respond
to customer support claim inquiries regarding, co-payments, prior
authorizations, eligibility issues, and claim processing issues.
-
Assist
clinical staff in review, approval, research and communication of prior
authorization/step therapy requests and overrides.
-
Coordinate
provider enrollment process and strategies.
-
Assist
clinical staff in development and maintenance of various plan functions
including new client plan setup, formulary maintenance, pricing maintenance and
other various tasks as requested.

Participate
as a key member or new client implementation teams.

Assist
account managers and other client service representatives in responding to
client requests for reports and other information.
- Perform other various duties and tasks as assigned by
supervisor(s).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High
School diploma or equivalent.
- Certification
as a pharmacy technician, or 3 years demonstrated experience working as
pharmacy technician in an acceptable environment.
DESIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pharmaceutical
Technician Training and/or background in pharmacy desired.
- Previous
pharmacy technician experience in a Pharmacy Benefit Management environment.
- Previous
pharmacy technician experience in a health care environment or a retail
pharmacy.
